So far, I am loving facilitating Career Readiness with our students. They are so receptive of the topics and are excited about their future careers in tech, and that energy is contagious!
Why Persevere?
With a background in workforce development, I’ve seen many barriers that job seekers face, but none as extreme as the justice-involved population. It is an honor to serve this population alongside a positive, motivated team.

What did you want to be when you were a kid?
I wanted to be a veterinarian! I still love animals!

Looking back on your life, who or what makes you instantly light up?
I am filled with gratitude on growing up in rural Nebraska. I’ve come to appreciate that simple is sometimes better.
What is the best piece of advice you have ever been given?
Never Grow Up! Always stay curious as a kiddo and keep learning.

Describe your perfect day.
My perfect day would include some form of outdoor activity with my dogs and husband, reading a good book, and enjoying a yummy drink like apple cider or hot tea!

What are you most proud of about yourself?
I really am proud to be at a place in my life where I can finally start giving back to others, whether it be financially, through volunteering time, through listening, etc. It is an honor to be a support to others.

I have two doggos – one is a wolf-husky hybrid and the other is a border collie mutt and they are my life!

I have 6 sisters!
